Proxy websites:

The proxy server is an application that plays the role to unblock the website which is  by the servers or organisations. A client connects to the proxy server and requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or another resource available from a different server. The proxy websites makes these request more simple and removes complexity. Proxies were made to add structure and to distributed systems.

Firewall:

This is a combination of software and hardware which help to connects an organization’s internal networks to the Internet. The main motive of the firewall is to make your systems secure from unwanted data: it uses rules to determine what information can be passed in each direction, based on the originator address, the server address and the type of information to be transferred. In plain English something that monitors all communication between the company network and the Internet and makes sure that this communication is genuine. Broadly speaking there are two main types of firewall: network level and application level.

When managing a large network, a proxy server will increase your security by rejecting direct connection to the network. Working regularly, you can secure your network with a proxy server to control traffic in your systems with the help of firewalls that maintain your network secure and safe.

How the Proxy Works

Simply put, the proxy is gateway applications used to transmit Internet and web access from within a firewall. Proxy servers perform by opening a plug on the server and allowing the connection to pass through. There is done on only one computer in a company with a direct Internet connection. Other computers have access to the Internet using that computer as a gateway.

A proxy basically does the following:

1. Receives a request from a customer inside the firewall.

2. Then Send this request to the remote server which is outside of the firewall.

3. Reads the response of the request.

4. Sends it again to the client.

How Firewall Works:

When your computer has firewall protection, everything that goes in and out of it is controlled. A firewall can help to all this all this data traffic to allow in good data and block ‘bad data’ from entering your computer.

Firewalls use one or a combination of the following some methods to control traffic flowing in and out of the network:

• Packet filtering

This is the most basic form of firewall uses basic security rules which create filters. If the insecure data want to enter in your computer it helps to filter that data and then allows it to enter into the computer. If that data aren't able to filter then firewall doesn't allow it to enter.

• Stateful inspection

This is the most modern method of firewall scanning. A ‘stateful’ firewall holds significant characteristics of each connection in a database of trusted information, during the session. Which are communally known as the ‘state’ of the connection, may include such details as the IP addresses and ports involved in the connection and the sequence numbers of the packets are being transferred. The firewall compares the data at first and then transfers that data to the database. If the comparison becomes positive then it may allow entering, otherwise, it is denied.
